INT. ELIJAH AND ARDEN’S APARTMENT - NIGHT

ARDEN has just arrived home and finds ELIJAH in the kitchen wearing nothing but a bath towel.

ARDEN

Whoa!

ELIJAH

Oh hi. I didn’t hear you come in. I thought you were going to close tonight at Sutter’s Mill?

ARDEN

No, I got to leave early. Looks like someone just took a shower.

ELIJAH

Yeah, I was totally sweaty from the gym.

ARDEN

You’ve really been hitting the weights lately.

ELIJAH

Well, I need to look good if I’m ever going to find someone as gorgeous as you to share my life with.

ARDEN

Oh please. But are you really looking for that? For someone to settle down with?

ELIJAH

I want to be in love, sure. Why not? I don’t need to sleep with every girl I meet like…

ARDEN

You were going to say, Dante?

ELIJAH

Yes, but I stopped myself. Give me some credit here.

ARDEN

Dante’s a changed man, Elijah.

ELIJAH

Whatever you say, Arden. Look, would you mind rubbing the back of my neck and my right shoulder. I think I strained it or something.

ARDEN

Uh, okay. Sure.

Elijah sits in a kitchen table chair and Arden tentatively begins to rub his shoulders.

ELIJAH

Come on, Arden. Put some muscle into it.

ARDEN

Is this better?

ELIJAH

There you go. Oh, that feels so good.

ARDEN

Maybe I should change careers.

ELIJAH

You definitely have the magic touch.

Elijah stands up and turns around.

ELIJAH

I better go get dressed. Thanks for rub down.

Elijah kisses Arden on the cheek and then walks away.
