ELIJAH
Hey,
I just had a crazy idea, but here me out before you say no.
O-kay.
ELIJAH
Why
don’t we throw a big housewarming bash for ourselves? We’ve had a few friends over but let’s invite
everyone we know and do it right. What
do you think?
Well… Why would I say no? It’s summer, and a party
might be just what we all need.
ASHLEY
is talking on the phone with
ASHLEY
Hey,
a party sounds great. Count me in… Okay, talk to you later.
Ashley
hangs up.
IAN
Got
invited to a party?
ASHLEY
Yep.
IAN
Sounds nice.
ASHLEY
It
should be.
IAN
Look,
I came over here to tell you something.
I saw our father, Dan, at the hospital.
ASHLEY
Ian,
don’t say another word. I already told
you I don’t care about Dan Levin in the least.
He’s not my father and never will be.
IAN
But
we have his blood running through our veins.
Doesn’t that mean anything to you.
ASHLEY
No. Not really.
I have more important things on my mind.
IAN
Like
what? Dante Ramos (ray-mos)?
ASHLEY
And
just what would you know about that?
IAN
I
know you, Ash. I was in here the other
night and you were all over him. It’s
obvious, at least to me.
ASHLEY
Well,
brother dear, why don’t you mind your own business? And by the way, I’ve heard all about you and
that guy in the corner, what’s his name, Cyrus?
IAN
Yes. What have you heard?
ASHLEY
That you two have a “thing”. What’s
up with that? You are supposedly
bisexual and can have any guy or girl you choose, or any one that would have
you. And you pick this guy? You know everyone calls him the gay psychic,
don’t you?
IAN
People
at the hospital are just gossips. Cyrus
is a great guy and that’s all that matters.
ASHLEY
But a psychic, Ian? Come on. That’s weird, even for you.
IAN
Ashley,
you can be so shallow and self-involved.
Sometimes I wonder if we’re really related.
ASHLEY
Hey,
me too. I obviously got all the looks in
the family.
IAN
Whatever.
Ian
starts to walk away.
ASHLEY
Ian,
wait. Look, I’m sorry. I know I can be a pain sometimes.
IAN
You
sure can.
ASHLEY
Hey,
why don’t you come to

What? You’d actually be seen in public with your
geeky brother?
ASHLEY
I’m
trying to make peace here, okay? And hell, bring Cyrus too if you’re so in love with him.
IAN
Wow. I can’t believe I’m hearing this.
ASHLEY
Just
don’t embarrass me, Ian. Got it?
