FRANK
has just been brought out to the visitation room to meet an unexpected visitor,
BENNY.
FRANK
Who
are you?
BENNY
Hello
Frank. My name is Blaylock. Benny Blaylock. I’m a friend of your sister, Barbara.
FRANK
My sister? Barbara sent you
here? She hasn’t bothered to visit me
one time since I’ve been in this hell hole.
BENNY
She
doesn’t know I’m here. But I heard
you’ve been in touch with her recently.
FRANK
What
are you talking about? I don’t even know
where my sister is, man.
BENNY
Well,
I can tell you exactly where she is.
FRANK
BENNY
I’m
not sure if you’ve ever heard of Paul Ramos, but she’s about to marry him in a
few weeks. He’s the richest man in
FRANK
Barbara
is marrying this Ramos (ray-mos) guy? Then who the hell are you? I figured you must be her boyfriend or
something?
BENNY
No,
no, just an old friend who would love to reunite the two of you. It would mean a lot to Paul, and impressing
Paul is doing wonders for my bank account these days.
FRANK
You
said she’s getting married in a few weeks?
What is the date? My next parole
hearing is next week, and I hear I have a 50/50 shot of getting out of this
place.
BENNY
Oh
really? Now isn’t that interesting. You might be able to attend Barbara’s wedding
after all.
DAMIEN
is talking with DANTE at the bar.
DAMIEN
I’m
kind of surprised you decided to go to work at L&R.
DANTE
The
thought of sitting in a classroom right now just doesn’t appeal to me. But now I’ll be sorting through my Dad’s
mail. Can you believe he’s putting me in
the mail room?
DAMIEN
Nothing
your father does ever surprises me, Dante.
DANTE
You
have a point.
Felicia
walks up.
FELICA
Hello
Damien, I got your message. What’s up?
DAMIEN
Felicia,
you didn’t have to stop by here. We’ll
have to talk later.
FELICIA
Maybe
I don’t want to talk to you later. You
treated me like garbage, and dumped me for that ho, and now you want to
talk?
DANTE
Hello
Felicia.
FELICIA
Well,
well. If it isn’t the
spoiled little rich boy.
DANTE
Nice to see you too.
DAMIEN
Now
is not the time for this Felicia. I’ll
call you later.
FELICIA
Don’t
bother.
Felicia
starts to leave.
DAMIEN
Wait! Dante, could you give us a few minutes alone
here?
DANTE
Uh,
okay. I’ll go twiddle my thumbs or
something.
DAMIEN
Thanks.
Dante
walks away.
FELICIA
Afraid
your best friend might find out you’re sleeping with his father’s fiancé?
DAMIEN
Felicia,
will you keep it down? Why are you
harassing Barbara Whitman?
FELICIA
Oh,
so that’s what this is all about.
Barbara came running to you, of course.
DAMIEN
Felicia,
you could go to jail for blackmailing Barbara.
I can’t believe you would do something like that.
FELICIA
Oh,
what do you care what I do, Damien?
DAMIEN
I… Look, Felicia. I do care.
I care about you a lot.
FELICIA
What
are you saying?
DAMIEN
I’m
saying…. Why don’t you forget all this
Barbara business so we can focus on something new in 2006.
FELICIA
We?
DAMIEN
I
want you back, Felicia. You and me together again.
What do you say?
Later
in the afternoon, ASHLEY is working at the bar when ELIJAH walks up.
ELIJAH
Hi Ashley. Is
ASHLEY
She’s
not working today.
ELIJAH
Oh,
alright.
ASHLEY
You
look so disappointed, Elijah. If I
didn’t know any better, I’d swear you have a thing for
ELIJAH
And
what if I do? Is that so wrong?
ASHLEY
Nope. My motto is a person should go after what
they want.
ELIJAH
But
as
ASHLEY
She’s
a big girl.
ELIJAH
Unless…. You were interested in Dante yourself.
ASHLEY
Don’t
be silly.
ELIJAH
That’s
it, isn’t it? You like Dante Ramos.
ASHLEY
He’s
a nice guy, so what?
ELIJAH
I’m
sure
ASHLEY
I
didn’t say that, Elijah. I’ll just say
that I’m intrigued and leave it at that.
ELIJAH
Hmmmm, so if you’re interested in Dante and I’m looking to get closer
to
ASHLEY
And
how would we do that?
ELIJAH
By finding a way to keep them apart. Are you game?
